title: Analytics overview
description: Understand the main store-performance cards, charts, funnel, and diagnostic sections in Runner Analytics.
---

Analytics gives you one page for checking sales, visits, conversion, product performance, and an Alpha diagnostics preview.

## Entry path

Open a store project, then select **Analytics** in the project navigation.

## Before you start

- Your plan must include storefront data.
- A published store and shopper activity are needed for meaningful traffic and sales results.
- Orders, refunds, and funnel events appear only after Runner receives those events.

## Controls and click results

| Control or area | What happens after you select it |
| --- | --- |
| Time-range selector | Opens the available reporting windows. Selecting one refreshes the cards and charts for that period. |
| **Last 24 hours**, **Last 7 days**, or **Last 30 days** | Applies that window to the page. It does not create missing store events. |
| **Site Diagnostics** (Alpha) | Shows its current preview card. The card does not open store-specific issue details. |

## Main sections

| Section | What it helps you understand |
| --- | --- |
| **Net Sales** | Revenue after the adjustments included in the report. |
| **GMV** | The gross value of merchandise in the selected period. |
| **Sessions** | Visits recorded for the storefront. |
| **Conversion Rate** | The share of recorded sessions that reached purchase. |
| Traffic and sales charts | How visits, GMV, or net sales changed during the selected period. |
| Product and source sections | Which products or acquisition sources contributed to results. |
| Conversion funnel | How many sessions reached traffic, add to cart, checkout, and purchase stages. |
| Cart abandonment and refund sections | Where carts stopped and how much completed activity was later refunded. |
| **Site Diagnostics** (Alpha) | Displays a preview for Merchandising, SEO, Site Performance, and Store Setup. **AI Data** is a separate badge, not a fifth score. The current card does not provide store-specific issue evidence. |

## Review store performance

1. Open **Analytics**.
2. Choose the reporting window at the top of the page.
3. Read the four summary cards first.
4. Compare traffic with GMV or net sales rather than reading either chart alone.
5. Check product and source sections to find where the result came from.
6. Review the conversion funnel, cart abandonment, and refunds for friction after a visit.
7. Use **Site Diagnostics** only as an Alpha overview. The current card does not open a detail workflow or identify an affected page.

## Troubleshooting

| State | Meaning and next step |
| --- | --- |
| Dash, zero, or empty chart | No matching data was recorded for that metric and period. Try a longer window and confirm the store has activity. |
| Upgrade screen | The current plan does not include this reporting surface. Review plan access before troubleshooting the store. |
| One chart has data and another does not | The underlying events differ. For example, visits can exist before orders. |
| Unexpected conversion result | Confirm the same date range is selected, then compare the funnel stages for the first large drop. |
| Diagnostics score looks unexpected | The Alpha card does not provide supporting issue details. Do not change the store from this score alone; use the storefront, Analytics, or SEO evidence that identifies a real page or event. |
