## Stopping work

**Messages you may see**

- `Runner didn't stop yet — tap Stop once more.`
- `Failed to stop proposal chat`

Runner could not confirm cancellation. A locally stopped appearance is not proof that every server-side or external action stopped.

1. Select **Stop** once more in the original conversation.
2. Check the latest task state after it settles; refresh if necessary.
3. If work still continues, contact support with the conversation URL and time. Check any external result before starting replacement work.

**Check:** The current task is no longer running. Previously completed changes may remain.

## If the error returns

Contact [Support and community](/en/guides/help-and-reference/support-and-community) after one appropriate retry. Include the exact error, page or conversation URL, workspace/store, approximate time, and what you checked. Remove sign-in codes, credentials, payment details, and customer information.
