title: "Publishing: workspace or setup check unavailable"
description: "We couldn't reach your workspace. Retry the check to continue."
---
**Exact messages**

- We couldn't reach your workspace. Retry the check to continue.

- Publishing stopped because your workspace was unavailable. Nothing went live — try again.

- Your workspace is offline — reconnect it to publish.

- We couldn’t verify Store Operations. Retry, or acknowledge this and publish anyway.

- We couldn't open a new fix chat, so no repair was started. Try again.

- We couldn't save your store details. Please try again.

**Meaning:** Runner cannot reach the workspace, verify Store Operations, open the repair conversation, or save the publish setup. These are separate from a confirmed code build error.

For an offline workspace, reconnect/wait for it to be available and retry the publish check. For an unavailable Store Operations check, retry it; publishing after acknowledging the warning is a deliberate option, not proof that checkout or operations are ready. For a repair-chat failure, retry opening the fix chat and confirm a repair actually starts. For store-details save failure, keep your entered details and retry saving before proceeding.

**Success:** The failed check completes or the details save; then verify the actual publish or repair outcome separately. Escalate if the same stage fails again, identifying that stage.
