title: "Version history and restore"
description: "Couldn't load your versions \u2014 try again."
---
**Exact messages**

- Couldn't load your versions — try again.

- Couldn't restore this version — your current store is untouched.

- Can't restore while the agent is working. Try again once it finishes.

**Meaning:** The first message concerns loading the version list. The restore messages concern changing the current project to a saved version; an active agent task can block that change.

For a list failure, retry or reopen Version History. For an active-task warning, let Runner finish, then review the intended version and try restoring again. For a generic restore failure, reopen history and check the current-version marker before retrying: an error during follow-up refresh is not sufficient evidence of the final server state. Restore only if you still want that version's content.

**Success:** History loads; after an intentional restore, the current-version marker and refreshed storefront show the chosen content. If they disagree or restore keeps failing, stop retrying and provide the version numbers to support.
