title: Sign In to Runner
description: Sign in with Google or a one-time email code and reach your Runner workspace safely.
---

**What this covers:** You will sign in and return to the Runner page or workspace that started the login flow.

Use email when you want a password-free one-time code. Use Google when that account is already
available in your browser.

**Entry path:** Runner home → **Start**, **Start for free**, or **Open Workspace**.

## Before you start

- Use an email account you can open on the same trusted device.
- If your organization invited you, sign in with the invited email address.
- Do not share a one-time code or leave it visible in a screenshot.

## Sign-in controls

| Control | Why it is useful | What happens after you select it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Continue with Google** | Uses your Google account. | Opens Google's account and consent flow. Runner resumes after Google returns successfully. |
| **Email** | Lets you sign in without a password. | Accepts the address that will receive the one-time code. |
| **Continue** | Requests an email code. | Runner sends a six-digit verification code and opens the code form. |
| Verification code fields | Confirms that you control the email address. | The form submits automatically after all six digits are entered. |
| **Resend verification code** | Replaces a missing or expired code. | Sends another code after the visible countdown finishes. |

## Sign in with email

1. Enter your email address.
2. Select **Continue**.
3. Open the message from Runner and find the six-digit code.
4. Enter all six digits. You do not need to select another submit button.
5. Wait for Runner to return you to the safe destination that started sign-in.

## Complete the new-account questions

Some new accounts see **Tell Runner about your store** before entering the workspace.

1. Choose an answer for the open question.
2. Select **Next question** to continue.
3. Use **Change** to revise an answered question.
4. Select **Get started** when all required questions are complete.

The questionnaire asks for business context; it does not create or publish a store by itself.

## Troubleshooting

| State | Meaning | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Invalid email | The address is incomplete or cannot be used as entered. | Correct the address, then select **Continue** again. |
| Sending | Runner is requesting the verification email. | Keep the page open until the code form appears. |
| Incorrect code | The entered code was not accepted. | Re-enter the latest code or request another one. |
| Resend countdown | Another code cannot be sent yet. | Wait until **Resend verification code** is available. |
| Questionnaire failed to save | Runner could not store the answers. | Keep your answers on screen and try the action again. |

Do not share a verification code with anyone. Runner support does not need it to help with an
account issue.
