**What this covers:** You will leave the welcome tour knowing where core tools live and understand what changes after a daily check-in.

Use this page when Runner opens **Welcome to Runner** or when **Earn free credits** is visible.

## Entry paths

- **Welcome tour:** Runner opens **Welcome to Runner** automatically for an eligible account. The tour has no permanent navigation entry.
- **Daily credits:** Workspace sidebar → **Earn free credits**.

## Before you start

- The welcome tour and daily reward can be absent when the account is not eligible or the step is already complete.
- Read the amount, expiry, and claim state in the current dialog rather than relying on an older screenshot.
- Eligible new users currently receive **150 welcome credits** that do not expire. They are separate from daily check-in credits and can already be in the balance before the daily claim button is selected.

## Follow the welcome tour

The six tour steps introduce building and previewing, Creative Studio, Skills, Dropshipping,
Store Operations, and Design Mode.

| Control | What happens |
| --- | --- |
| Step dots | Jumps directly to the selected tour step. |
| **Back** | Returns to the previous step. It is disabled on the first step. |
| **Next** | Opens the next step. |
| **Enlarge video** | Opens the current demonstration at a larger size when the video is ready. |
| **Skip tour** or close | Dismisses the tour without changing the store. |
| **Start building** | Finishes the last step and closes the tour. |

1. Read the purpose of the current area.
2. Play or enlarge the demonstration if it helps.
3. Select **Next**, **Back**, or a step dot to move through the tour.
4. Select **Start building** on the final step, or **Skip tour** when you are ready to work.

The tour is instructional. It does not run a Skill, import a product, or change a storefront.

## Claim a daily reward

The dialog can show the current streak, today's available credits, the reward expiry date,
credits granted in the current cycle, and the next milestone.

When Runner shows **Welcome Gift**, the message confirms that the 150 welcome credits are already in the balance. The daily button claims a separate reward; it does not claim the welcome grant again.

Closing **Welcome Gift** does not remove welcome credits that are already in the balance. Closing a still-claimable daily check-in leaves that separate daily reward unclaimed.

1. Confirm that the dialog says a reward is claimable.
2. Review the amount and expiry date shown.
3. Select **Check in today** or the visible claim button.
4. Wait for the claimed state before closing the dialog.

## Troubleshooting

| State | Meaning | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Claim button available | Today's reward can be claimed for the workspace shown. | Select it once and wait for confirmation. |
| Checked in / claimed | Today's reward has already been added. | Return on another eligible day. |
| Reward unavailable | The account is not currently eligible or no claim is due. | Close the dialog; do not assume a credit was added. |
| Claim failed | Runner did not confirm the reward. | Keep the dialog open and try again later. |

Closing a claimable reward leaves it unclaimed. Check the displayed expiry before deciding to return later.
