**What this covers:** You will open the correct settings area and know which changes affect a workspace, store, or only your account.

Settings are grouped by scope. Confirm the workspace and store names before changing access,
billing, domains, scripts, or deletion controls.

**Entry paths:**

- Store-name menu → **Workspace Settings** opens workspace settings.
- Top-right user avatar → **My Settings** opens personal settings.
- Sidebar → **Settings** opens settings with the current store in context.

## Before you start

- Confirm the workspace and, for store settings, the **Store: _store name_** group.
- Wait for any **Saving** state before leaving the page.
- Read the final confirmation before access, billing, domain, script, or deletion changes.

## Important controls and results

| Control | What happens after you select it |
| --- | --- |
| **Name** or **Description** | Saves a valid workspace change automatically after editing stops. |
| **Workspace General** | Opens details for the workspace named in the settings sidebar. |
| **Delete Workspace** | Opens a destructive confirmation that requires the complete workspace name. |

The workspace group and **Store** group have separate settings. Confirm the named scope before editing.

## Settings sections

| Scope | Sections currently shown | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Workspace | **Workspace General**, **Members**, **Plan & Billing**, **Usage & Credits** | Member roles control which changes succeed. |
| Store project | **Store General**, **Domain**, **Custom Scripts**, **Agent** | **Experiments** appears only when enabled. Project sections appear only with a store in context. |
| Personal | **My Settings**, and **API Keys** when enabled | Personal changes and API keys belong to your account. |

## Update workspace details

1. Open **Settings → Workspace General**.
2. Confirm the workspace name at the top of the settings panel.
3. Edit **Name** or **Description**.
4. Watch the save state change from **Saving** to **Saved**.
5. Keep the panel open until the save finishes.

These fields save automatically. An empty or invalid name is not saved. If saving fails, Runner
can restore the last server value and show an error. The workspace description accepts up to the
limit displayed by the field, currently 500 characters.

Updating workspace details requires sufficient workspace permission. Deleting a workspace is an
owner action even if another role can see part of the settings interface.

## Switch settings context

1. Open **Settings** and read the workspace and store names in its sidebar.
2. Select **Workspace General** for workspace details or **Store General** for the current store.
3. Select **My Settings** for personal preferences.

The current sidebar does not expose a **Workspaces** list. Use a workspace-switching or creation entry only when Runner presents one; do not look for it under **My Settings**. To leave a workspace, follow [Members and invitations](/en/guides/workspace/members-and-invitations).

## Delete a workspace carefully

1. Open **Settings → Workspace General**.
2. Find **Delete Workspace**.
3. Read the confirmation and affected workspace name.
4. Enter the complete workspace name only when it is the intended target.
5. Cancel if any store, conversation, member access, or workspace data should remain available.

The only workspace cannot be deleted from the interface.

## Access states and troubleshooting

| State | Meaning | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Saving** | Runner is storing an automatic change. | Keep the settings panel open. |
| **Saved** | The latest valid field change was accepted. | Continue or close settings. |
| Save error and old value returns | The change was not accepted. | Correct the value, confirm your permission, and try once more. |
| **Create your first workspace** | Your account has no available workspace. | Use the creation action to continue. |
| **Workspace access denied** | Your account cannot open that workspace. | Choose **Go to your workspace**. |
| Renewal screen | The workspace is not active. | Choose **Renew Plan** if authorized, or switch workspaces. |
| A section is missing | It is unavailable for the current role, project context, plan, or feature access. | Confirm the context and ask the workspace owner when necessary. |
