## Activating your license

### How do I activate my AppSumo license?

Sign in to your AppSumo account, open **Products**, find Runner AI, and click **Activate now**.

You are taken to runnerai.com/redeem/appsumo. Create your Runner AI account with Google or an emailed code. This account becomes your AppSumo tier account.

Your lifetime plan is then applied to your workspace, and you see **You're all set!** with your tier. There is no code to type. Activation takes about a minute.

### Do I need a Runner AI account before I buy?

No. You create your account during activation, and your AppSumo tier is applied to it right away. If you already have a Runner AI account on the Free plan, you can sign in with it instead: the license applies to that workspace and you keep any store you have built. If your existing account is on a paid Runner AI plan, the two cannot be combined, so create a new Runner AI account with a different email for your AppSumo tier.

### Which workspace gets the license?

The workspace you are signed in to when you activate. Each Runner AI account has one workspace, and one license activates one workspace.

### Who can activate?

The workspace owner or an admin. Members cannot activate a license.

### I see “This activation link has expired”

An activation link can be used only once, so it stops working if the page was refreshed or the link was opened a second time. Your license is not affected. Go back to your AppSumo **Products** page and click **Activate now** to get a fresh link.

### I see “This workspace already has a plan”

The workspace you signed in to has an active Runner AI subscription, and a lifetime license cannot be added on top of a subscription. Either cancel the subscription and activate after it ends, or sign out and create a new Runner AI account with a different email, then activate again from AppSumo.

### I see “This license is already in use”

The license was already activated on another Runner AI workspace. Sign in with the account that activated it. If you need the license moved to a different account, email [appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai](mailto:appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai) with your AppSumo order number.

### I see “This license was deactivated”

AppSumo deactivates a license after a refund, and also after you change tier (the new tier comes with its own license, so activate that one). If this is unexpected, AppSumo support can check your order.

### I activated, but my workspace does not show my AppSumo tier

Open the workspace you were signed in to when you activated. Your tier name shows in the top bar next to your credit balance, and under **Settings → Plan & Billing** with a **Lifetime** badge. If neither shows it, email [appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai](mailto:appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai) with your AppSumo order number and the time you activated.

### Do I have to activate within 60 days?

Yes, the deal terms ask you to activate within 60 days of purchase. Activating early also lets you try Runner AI inside AppSumo's 60-day refund window.

For other activation errors, see [AppSumo activation](/en/guides/help-and-reference/error-playbook-account-and-chat/appsumo-activation) in the error playbook.

| Payment provider fee (Stripe) | 2.9% + 30¢ | 2.9% + 30¢ | 2.9% + 30¢ | 2.9% + 30¢ |

Every tier includes the AI website builder, build and publish store, live preview, clone any website, checkout and payments, order confirmation, tracking and shipping updates, promotions, discounts and product reviews, upsells, pop-ups and cross-sells, apps integration, AI Skills, a custom domain, and removal of the Runner AI badge.

### Is this a one-time payment?

Yes. You pay AppSumo once and your plan reloads credits every month for the lifetime of the product. There is no subscription. The only later costs are per-sale fees when you sell (see [Selling and fees](#selling-and-fees)) and optional extras such as a domain or extra credits.

### What does “lifetime” mean?

Access to Runner AI for as long as Runner AI offers the product, under AppSumo's standard lifetime-deal terms.

### What are “all future plan updates”?

Your tier receives the features and improvements Runner AI ships to that tier over time. Moving to a higher tier is a paid upgrade inside your AppSumo account.

### What is Fly, and which tiers have it?

Fly is the brain of your store. It studies your store, proposes the next move (a campaign, a page change, a test) and runs it after you approve. Fly is included from Tier 2. Tier 1 is the build-and-sell tier: you build and edit your store in chat, generate content in Creative Studio, publish on your own domain and sell, without Fly. See [Fly](/en/guides/advanced/fly).

### Can I use Creative Studio on Tier 1?

Yes. Creative Studio (AI images, video and ad creative) is included on every tier and uses your monthly credits. Ads automation, which runs campaigns for you, starts at Tier 2.

### What is the difference between Lite, Pro and Max models?

Lite is fast and economical for simple tasks. Pro is the balanced lineup for complex builds and most Fly work. Max is our most advanced lineup, for the highest-quality results. Tier 1 runs on Lite, Tiers 2 and 3 include Pro, and Tier 4 unlocks Max, with Pro and Lite also available so you can pick the right model for each task. Runner AI chooses and updates the models behind each lineup.

### What is the difference between Tier 2 and Tier 3?

Same models and features. Tier 3 doubles credits to 2,000 a month, gives 10 seats, unlimited dropshipping and print-on-demand products, and a 1% fee per sale instead of 1.2%.

### How many stores can I run?

One store per license, on every tier. For a second store, buy a second license and activate it on a second Runner AI account.

### Is hosting included? Is my store always on?

Yes. Hosting and publishing are included, cost no credits, and your store stays online.

### Can I move my Shopify store to Runner AI?

Yes. Use **Migration** in the top header of the Runner AI workspace to bring your products and store data in, then ask Runner AI to clone your current storefront.

## Credits

### What is a credit?

Credits are the usage unit for everything the AI does for you: chat, store builds and edits, Fly proposals and executions, Creative Studio images and video, automations and simulations. Publishing, hosting, orders and the edits you make yourself cost nothing.

### How many credits does a task cost?

There is no fixed price per action. Each request is charged on the AI work it actually performs, so a small text edit costs a few credits and a full store build costs more. To see what a task cost, open **Settings → Usage & Credits** after it finishes. See [Credits and usage](/en/guides/plans-and-billing/credits-and-usage).

### When do my credits reload?

Every month on the day and time you activated. If you activate on November 1, your next credits arrive on December 1. Changing tier moves the reload date to the day of the change.

### Do unused credits roll over?

Yes. Each month's credits stay valid for two months, so up to one month of unused credits carries over. Credits that expire soonest are used first.

### What happens when I run out of credits?

Your store stays live and you can still publish. Chat, agents and Creative Studio pause until credits arrive, and Fly pauses with **Paused, out of credits**. To keep going right away, buy a credit Boost Pack under **Settings → Plan & Billing** (also reached by clicking your plan name in the top bar); packs come in several sizes. You can also earn free credits or wait for your next monthly reload.

### Can I buy more credits?

Yes. Credit Boost Packs are sold in four sizes: 1, 2, 5 or 10 packs of 350 credits ($9.90 per pack). Boost credits never expire. Buy them under **Settings → Plan & Billing**. If you need more every month, move up a tier in your AppSumo account while the deal is live on AppSumo, about 30 days from launch (see [Refunds, upgrades and your license](#refunds-upgrades-and-your-license)); after the campaign ends, Boost Packs are the way to add credits.

### Can I switch to a monthly Runner AI plan later?

A lifetime license and a monthly subscription cannot be on the same workspace, and your license stays valid for the lifetime of the product, so there is no need to switch. For more credits, buy a Boost Pack any time, or upgrade your tier while the deal is live on AppSumo (the campaign runs about 30 days from launch).

## Selling and fees

### What do I pay when I make a sale?

Two per-sale fees, both standard for any store platform: payment processing of 2.9% + 30¢, paid to Stripe, and the Runner AI fee of 1.5% on Tier 1, 1.2% on Tier 2, 1% on Tier 3, or 0.8% on Tier 4.

On a $100 order at Tier 2, that is $3.20 to Stripe and $1.20 to Runner AI. There is no monthly fee.

### Which payment providers can I use?

Stripe is the checkout for AppSumo plans. Connect it under **Apps** in your store project; check Stripe's list of supported countries before you buy if you are outside the US. See [Stripe payments](/en/guides/apps-and-integrations/stripe-payments).

### What do dropshipping and print-on-demand orders cost?

You pay the supplier for product cost and shipping, and you set your own margin and price. Dropshipping sources are AliExpress and CJ Dropshipping (CJ needs your CJ API key); print-on-demand runs through your own Printful account, connected under **Print on Demand** in the left navigation. Tier 1 allows up to 50 dropshipping and 50 print-on-demand products, Tier 2 up to 100 of each, Tiers 3 and 4 unlimited. Products you add yourself are unlimited on every tier.

We are working to bring in more suppliers. If there is a specific supplier you use, email [appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai](mailto:appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai) and we will see whether it can be added. See [Dropshipping](/en/guides/store-operations/dropshipping) and [Print on demand](/en/guides/store-operations/print-on-demand).

### Do ads cost credits?

Ad spend goes directly from your own Meta, Google or TikTok ad account. Credits pay for the AI work: creating the creative and setting up and optimizing campaigns.

### Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on every tier. Publish your store first; domain settings then unlock under **Settings → Store → Domain**, where you can connect a domain you own or search for and buy one inside Runner AI. A purchased domain is a separate charge that renews yearly. The Runner AI badge can be removed on every tier. See [Custom domains](/en/guides/storefront-and-publishing/custom-domains).

## Teams and seats

### What is a seat?

A seat is one member of your workspace, owner included. Tier 1 is a single-seat plan. Tiers 2, 3 and 4 allow 3, 10 and 50 members.

### How do I invite my team?

Open the store-name menu, choose **Workspace Settings → Members**, then **Invite people** and enter the email address. The invitee signs in with that email and clicks **Join**. Only owners and admins can invite, and only on Tier 2 and above. See [Members and invitations](/en/guides/workspace/members-and-invitations).

### What can members do?

Owners can assign owner, admin or member roles. Admins manage members and admins but cannot change the owner. Members work in the store and chat with Runner AI; only owners and admins manage members and the license.

### I see “Workspace is full”

The workspace has reached its seat limit. Ask the owner to remove a member or move to a higher tier, then open the invitation link again.

## Refunds, upgrades and your license

### How do refunds work?

AppSumo gives you 60 days from purchase, no questions asked. In your AppSumo account open **Products**, choose **Actions → Refund**, click **Initiate refund** and confirm. AppSumo processes the refund; card refunds post in 5 to 10 business days. Runner AI does not process refunds for AppSumo purchases.

### What happens to my store if I refund?

Your workspace returns to the Free plan and the AppSumo credits are removed. Your store data stays in your account; paid-plan features such as the custom domain and badge removal stop at the next publish.

### How do I upgrade or downgrade my tier?

In your AppSumo account open **Products**, choose **Actions → Change plan**, pick the tier and confirm. Upgrades are charged at the total shown on the **Review plan** step and come with their own 60-day refund window; downgrades refund the difference within your original refund window. Runner AI switches your workspace to the new tier right away.

Licenses do not stack, so you can change tier as often as you like while the deal is live on AppSumo. Upgrades are offered only during the AppSumo campaign, about 30 days from launch; once the campaign ends, upgrades are no longer available.

### What happens to my credits when I change tier?

The new tier's full monthly credits arrive immediately, and your reload date moves to the day of the change. Unused credits from the old tier expire at that moment, so use them before you switch.

### Do I need to activate before I can change tiers, or activate again afterwards?

Neither. In most cases you can change tier from your AppSumo **Products** page before or after activating. If you have already activated, AppSumo issues a license for the new tier and Runner AI applies it to your workspace automatically; the old tier's license shows as outdated in AppSumo. If you change tier before ever activating, click **Activate now** on the new tier.

### Does a downgrade restart my refund window?

No. Refund eligibility stays tied to your original purchase date. An upgrade gets its own 60-day refund window for the new tier.

### What if the tier I want is sold out?

Once a tier sells out on AppSumo, only downgrades are offered. Your current license is unaffected.

### Can I buy more than one license?

Yes. Each license powers one Runner AI workspace, and each account has one workspace, so activate each extra license on its own Runner AI account.

### Can I move my license to another account?

The license is tied to the workspace that activated it. Email [appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai](mailto:appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai) with your AppSumo order number and the email of the account you want it on.

### I already pay for Runner AI monthly. Can I use the deal?

A lifetime license cannot be added to a workspace with an active subscription. Cancel your subscription and activate after it ends, or activate the license on a new Runner AI account.

### Will the deal still work after it leaves AppSumo?

Yes. Your license and plan are unaffected when the listing ends; only new purchases and tier upgrades stop.

### Where do I find my invoice and purchase history?

In your AppSumo account open **Products** and click **View invoice** next to Runner AI; it shows the purchase date and any tier-change dates. **Purchase History** lists each upgrade or downgrade as its own line, and former tiers appear under the **Outdated** filter. Runner AI does not issue invoices for AppSumo purchases.

### Is Runner AI covered by AppSumo's We Got Your Back guarantee?

Yes for AppSumo Plus members, under AppSumo's standard terms: if a product closes within the coverage period, Plus members receive AppSumo store credit. Claims go to AppSumo support, not Runner AI.

## Getting help

### How do I contact support?

Email [appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai](mailto:appsumo@adaptivemachines.ai), the dedicated support inbox for AppSumo customers. Include your AppSumo order number, the workspace name, the page you were on, what you did, what you expected, and a screenshot without passwords or payment details. For questions about the AppSumo purchase itself (invoices, refunds, tier changes), contact AppSumo support.

### Where else can I get help?

These docs are the help center; start with [First store quickstart](/en/guides/start-here/first-store-quickstart). For the community, join the Runner AI Discord, linked from the footer of [runnerai.com](https://www.runnerai.com). For product updates, read the [changelog](https://www.runnerai.com/changelog).

### Where do I start after activating?

Describe your business in one sentence and Runner AI builds a live store in 3 minutes. Then connect Stripe to take payments, add products or import dropshipping products, and, on Tier 2 and above, open Fly to let it start proposing improvements.
